「EP26·Academic Exchange Visit」 —— Post-doc Fellow Dr.Wen Shares AI Applications in Transportation with Undergraduate Students

On the afternoon of May 25, 2025, the newly recruited post-doctoral fellow Dr. Yi Wen from the TRANS Research Group of the South China University of Technology (SCUT), Guangzhou International Campus, visited the Wushan campus of SCUT and participated in a salon session hosted by a group of SCUT undergraduate students. The salon focused on the idea of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications in different fields of study, with nearly 30 undergraduate students in attendance.

Dr. Wen briefly introduced the research agenda of the TRANS Research Group and delved into other aspects of AI applications in transportation.  After the talks, the students exchanged ideas with the guest speakers in an enthusiastic, scholarly environment.

Dr. Wen graduated with a doctoral degree in transportation engineering from the University of Tennessee in 2024. Before this, Dr. Wen received a master’s degree in environmental science and management from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2017. Dr. Wen’s doctoral research mainly focuses on the multifaceted impacts of micromobility.
