On March 10, 2025, Professor Ou Shiqi\u2019s TRANS research group from South China University of Technology, along with doctoral candidate Jing Hao, master’s students Zhu Jiankuan, Liu Tianyi, L\u00fc Zhilong, and research assistant Guo Haifeng, visited the China Electronic Products Reliability and Environmental Testing Research Institute (CEPREI, also known as the China Saibao Laboratory), a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology-affiliated institution. Established in 1955, CEPREI is China\u2019s earliest authoritative organization specializing in reliability research, offering comprehensive services in certification, testing, data analysis, and industry support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, Dr. Hu Jianyao\u2019s team guided the TRANS group through Guangzhou\u2019s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) Big Data Monitoring Platform. This platform tracks over 1.06 million NEVs across multiple brands, collecting real-time operational data on driving patterns, motor performance, and charging status. It enables detailed analysis of vehicle distribution, usage patterns, and battery health predictions to enhance safety and inform research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In academic discussions, Dr. Hu\u2019s team outlined their work on big data algorithms, industry reports (including the released 2023 Guangzhou NEV Big Data Analysis White Paper and upcoming 2024 edition), and applications such as smart charging infrastructure planning and battery lifecycle management. The TRANS group presented their research on transportation-energy integration, vehicle-grid interaction, smart charging, and battery health assessment using CEPREI\u2019s data resources. Both parties agreed to deepen collaboration in data-driven R&D and public service platforms. Joint efforts will focus on optimizing autonomous driving algorithms, improving battery management systems, and establishing a shared NEV technology platform to facilitate industry-academia collaboration and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
