From October 30 to November 1, 2024, the 7th IFAC Conference on Engine and Powertrain Control, Simulation, and Modeling (E-COSM) organized by the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) was held at Dalian University of Technology in Liaoning, China. This conference focused on the control, simulation, and modeling of engines and powertrains, attracting academic and industrial experts worldwide every three years to discuss the latest research results and technological advancements in this field. Professor Shiqi Ou and doctoral student Hao Qi from the class of 2024 of the TRANSLAB attended the conference and presented academic reports.
✨ Conference Report
The research results of doctoral student Hao Qi from the class of 2024 were successfully selected for the PhD Showcase session, where he presented a poster report titled “Energy Management Based on Coupled Model of Powertrain and Battery System,” introducing the research work on optimizing energy management based on the coupled model of powertrain and battery system. This research holds significant academic value and practical significance in enhancing vehicle efficiency and reducing carbon emissions, garnering wide attention and active discussions from the attending experts and scholars.

✨ Exchange and Insights
Through this participation, the TRANS Research Group engaged in in-depth discussions with experts, researchers, and industry representatives from around the world from the field of powertrain control. They not only showcased the latest research achievements in the coupled modeling of powertrains, battery systems, and energy management but also gained insights into the latest research developments by international experts in the field, expanding the research perspectives and ideas of the faculty and students in the research group.
